Overview
ILR Settlement Calculator (ilrsettlementcalculator.co.uk) is a free, independent UK immigration calculator hub. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
No Account Required
You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use our calculators or read our guides. There is no login, no sign-up, and no registration.
Calculator Inputs Are Not Stored
When you use the ILR calculator or spouse visa calculator, the information you enter (visa route, start date, absence days, income figures) is processed entirely in your browser. This data is never sent to our servers and is never stored. When you close or refresh the page, all entered data is gone.
Data We Do Collect
We collect minimal technical data necessary to operate the site:
- Server logs: Standard web server logs may include IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are used for security and performance monitoring and are not linked to your identity.
- Analytics (if implemented): If we add privacy-friendly analytics in the future, it will be aggregate, anonymised data only (e.g. total page views, country-level visitor counts). No individual user tracking.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking. We do not use cookies to identify you. Any cookies used are strictly necessary for the functioning of the site (e.g. remembering your calculator inputs within a single session).
Third-Party Services
This site uses the following third-party services:
- Database provider: Used to store immigration rule data (fees, qualifying periods, thresholds). This data is public information sourced from gov.uk and does not contain any personal data.
- Netlify: Our hosting provider, which serves the website and may collect standard server logs. Netlify processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.
Contact Form
Our contact page uses a mailto link rather than a form that submits to a server. If you email us, your email will be handled by our email provider and may be retained for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not share your email with third parties.
Your Rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- Be informed about how we use your data
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
